SOE Research center undertakes policy research related to public agency operations such as management,
operation, governance, labor-management relations, privatization and pricing policy,
in addition to research on public agency evaluation.
The SOE Research center is responsible for various tasks concerning SOE including but not limited to mid- and long-term policy research, supporting the efforts to improve the performance evaluation system, and carrying out surveys and analyses on the current issues related to the management of SOE. Our purpose is to lay the groundwork necessary for the sound growth of SOE and to produce outcomes that are beneficial to the general public.

The Center carries out research projects, surveys, and analyses in regard to the government policies concerning the management of SOE, in accordance with the Act on the Management of Public Institutions.
The main areas of our research include the measures to improve the performance evaluation system and its evaluation indicators; transition process of evaluation indicators; the reasonable and efficient ways to designate public companies and organizations as SOE, classify them into different categories depending on their characteristics, and manage them; the study on the accounting system of SOE and the efficient ways to manage their finance; and the measures to innovate their business and promote them to create social values.
The Center will commit itself to sharing our research results via our website so that the website will be used as an online communication platform and a public sphere for announcing related policies.
Meeting the needs and demands of the general public in regard to the management of SOE, we will fulfill our social responsibilities and contribute to national economic development. Furthermore, we will commit ourselves to carrying out systematic and ongoing research so as to ensure that SOE can better serve the public and operate with greater efficiency.
